Hi, I’m Dani :)

And I'm eager to share the story of my journey through the ever-evolving landscapes of technology, leadership, and professional growth. My enthusiasm lies in empowering individuals on their transformative journey of growth. Despite my current role in management, I spent 20 years as a Software Engineer, leading and mentoring primarily in technical capacities. Guiding people to become the best versions of themselves is what I find most rewarding.

My tech journey began at the age of 19, fueled by a passion for both engineering and design. Initially exploring both fields, I eventually discovered my love for crafting seamless and visually engaging user interfaces. With over two decades of experience and transitioning from a Junior to a Principal Engineer, I now find fulfillment as an Engineering Manager in the vibrant city of Berlin.

My academic background mirrors my dual interests, holding a Technologist degree in System Analysis and Development (2008) and a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts (2018). Visual arts has allowed me to blend creativity with technology, exploring the synergy between these seemingly opposite worlds. As you can imagine, painting is also a passion of mine.

In June 2022, I took a bold step, moving to Berlin for a new cultural and professional experience. This transition has not only brought new challenges but also broadened my perspective on work-life balance, a concept often overshadowed by the strong work-centric culture of my Brazilian roots.

As a woman in tech, supporting underrepresented groups is a deep commitment of mine. I serve as a mentor, particularly guiding individuals from backgrounds traditionally less represented in the tech industry through their technical journeys.
